Prototype: The 17 pounder SP (self-propelled) Achilles was a British adaptation of the American M10 Wolverine tank destroyer. It replaced the M10’s 3 inch gun with a much more powerful Ordnance QF 17 pounder (76.2 mm) high velocity antitank gun, the same used in the British Firefly variant of the Sherman tank. The 17 pounder was able to penetrate 131 mm of armor sloped at 30° from 1,000 m, allowing it to take on Panther and Tiger tanks. The Achilles was given additional armor protection on the hull and turret fronts and sides and could also be equipped with 20 mm turret cover. Rather than deploying it in tank hunting groups, the British used the Achilles as a rapidly deployable antitank gun, reserving it primarily for blunting German counteroffensives. Over 1,100 M10s were converted into Achilles during the war.

PLEASE NOTE: These models are all handmade and painted which makes every one unique. This means the paint patterns may vary a little and the detail parts like sandbags, turret tracks, antennas, etc. may also be arranged differently. This was also the case in real life. These models are very prototypical.
