Prototype: The Sherman M4A4 Armored Recovery Vehicle or ARV was a simple British adaptation, simply removing the turret from a Sherman and equipping the vehicle with repair gear. The Sherman ARV was used for towing disable tanks off the battlefield and it was equipped with a crane in the front, allowing its crew to remove engines from tanks in the field. The ARV retained the Sherman’s hull-mounted machine gun for protection. This Sherman ARV is painted Standard Camouflage Colour Shade or SCC 3 Khaki Green. British vehicles serving in Northern and Western Europe in 1944-45 had an Allied white star painted on their sides for simplified recognition purposes.
PLEASE NOTE: These models are all handmade and painted which makes every one unique. This means the paint patterns may vary a little and the detail parts like sandbags, turret tracks, antennas, etc. may also be arranged differently. This was also the case in real life. These models are very prototypical.
