Prototype: In the late 1930s, the British War Office and the Canadian department of national defense worked together to establish a series of standard designs of military trucks. With Germany rearming Britain’s military leadership hoped to take advantage of Canada’s modern automobile factories for military production if war came. These designs came to be known as Canadian Military Production, or CMP, trucks and were manufactured in the Canadian factories of General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler. The most common standard design the 3 ton 4x2 and 4x4 Chevrolet and Ford trucks with a 101 inch or 134 inch wheelbase. Both Chevrolet and Ford models had the same short cab which was a British military requirement; trucks with shorter length allowed for more vehicles to be stowed in ships’ cargo holds. Chevrolet trucks were powered by a 85 hp straight-6 overhead-valve engine. Over 500,000 CMP trucks were produced during the war, more than the total overall German truck production. Chevrolet CMP trucks served as cargo and troop transports, utility vehicles, ambulances, artillery tractors, radio vehicles, the chassis was used for the Canadian Fox and Otter armored reconnaissance vehicles.

PLEASE NOTE: These models are all handmade and painted which makes every one unique. This means the paint patterns may vary a little and the detail parts like sandbags, turret tracks, antennas, etc. may also be arranged differently. This was also the case in real life. These models are very prototypical.
