The BA-10 was a Soviet armored car produced from 1938 to 1941, widely used in the early stages of World War II. Based on the GAZ-AAA truck chassis, it featured 10–15 mm of armor and a 45 mm 20-K gun, the same weapon as early Soviet light tanks. The BA-10 was designed for reconnaissance and infantry support, with improved off-road capability due to auxiliary tracks fitted over its rear wheels. It saw combat in the Soviet invasion of Poland, the Winter War, and early battles against Germany. Though effective against light enemy forces, it was soon outclassed by more advanced armored vehicles.
